Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patient concerns with confidence and clinical judgment
• Coordinate care across cardiology services to ensure smooth patient journeys
• Assist with Exercise Stress Tests and Tilt Table Tests to support diagnostic workflows
• Perform EKGs and manage cardiac monitoring equipment accurately
• Start IVs for diagnostic testing and prepare patients for procedures
• Provide clear, compassionate patient education about cardiac conditions and medications
• Occasionally assist with patient rooming and clinic flow to keep things moving
• Communicate effectively with the care team to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license in good standing (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (required)
• Minimum 3 years of cardiology-specific clinic/ambulatory nursing experience (required)
• Experience using Athena and Epic EMRs (EMR conversion experience a plus)
• Comfortable assisting with exercise stress testing, tilt table tests, and cardiac monitoring
• Current Nursys license verification or ability to provide verification

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; active RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac nursing fundamentals and ambulatory/clinic workflows
• EKG (ECG) acquisition and interpretation basics
• IV insertion and venous access for diagnostic testing
• Use and troubleshooting of heart monitoring equipment
• Triage skills and care coordination across cardiology services
• Experience with Athena and Epic EMR systems and EMR conversion awareness
