Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly recognize and escalate arrhythmias and other changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to create and execute patient-centered plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly and timely
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to support recovery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact RN license as applicable
• Clinical experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation fundamentals
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in emergencies
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient- and family-centered care
