Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to individuals in the MST program
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patients throughout the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Document clinical findings and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Support patients with trauma-informed approaches and maintain patient safety
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members during handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — California licensure required or compact privileges where applicable
• Comfort working overnight shifts and providing per-diem coverage
• Experience or interest in working with survivors of trauma and MST-focused care preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to document accurately in electronic medical record systems

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid nursing assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles
• Clinical documentation and charting proficiency
• Ability to work independently on overnight shifts and escalate concerns appropriately
• Calm crisis management and de-escalation techniques
