Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to prevent falls
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and patient observations
• Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Offer emotional support and respectful communication to patients and families

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Prior experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Strong patient-focused communication and teamwork skills
• Availability for overnight/night shifts and occasional weekend coverage

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
• Skillful in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Familiarity with charting and basic documentation practices
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
• Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks during shift
