Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status closely
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document care, assessments, and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and self-care
• Respond effectively to emergent situations and escalate when necessary
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — California licensure preferred or eligible
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Previous clinical nursing experience, comfortable with 12-hour night shifts
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred based on specialty/unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and critical thinking
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Vital signs monitoring and basic emergency response
• Infection prevention, safety protocols, and patient advocacy
• Professional communication with patients, families, and care teams
