Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients overnight
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Accurately document care and observations in patient charts
- Communicate effectively with nurses, providers, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Assist with safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (California) required
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Ability to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and procedures
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient safety practices
- Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support patient mobility
- Understanding of infection control and proper PPE use
- Teamwork and effective communication with clinical staff
