Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging using Siemens 64- and 128-slice scanners to support accurate diagnoses
• Operate within Cerner EMR for timely charting, image documentation, and electronic orders
• Provide compassionate care for ER, inpatient, outpatient and OR patients, prioritizing safety and comfort
• Support intraoperative and fluoroscopy procedures when permitted, collaborating with OR teams
• Participate in weekend standby/call and holiday coverage to ensure continuous radiology services
• Follow unit protocols and assist with patient throughput (patients typically scheduled one per hour to allow inpatient/ER flexibility)
• Maintain equipment and imaging quality, and escalate issues to Radiology Coordinator/Manager/Supervisor as needed
• Assist with orientation and training when applicable, helping onboard new techs to unit processes

Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist — ARRT (CT) required
• Registered Radiologic Technologist — ARRT (R) required
• State of California Radiologic Technologist certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Fluoroscopy permit strongly preferred (enables OR and routine fluro work)
• Minimum: 2 years of relevant radiology/CT experience preferred
• Experience with Siemens CT (64- and 128-slice) and Cerner EMR is highly desirable
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and participate in call rotation

Education

• Required certifications: ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R); State of California Radiologic Technologist certification
• BLS certification required
• Formal degree not specified in the posting; clinical certifications and state licensure are the core requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Experience operating Siemens CT scanners (64-slice and 128-slice)
• Comfortable using Cerner electronic medical record systems for charting and orders
• Fluoroscopy knowledge and OR procedural support experience
• Ability to manage diverse patient populations (ER, OR, inpatient, outpatient)
• Strong patient communication, critical thinking, and multitasking in a fast-paced acute setting
• Venipuncture experience is a plus for IV contrast administration
• Ultrasound (Philips) and mammography/mammography tomography familiarity are beneficial
