Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting significant changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in the patient record
• Support infection control practices and follow facility safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Offer empathetic bedside presence and comfort to patients and families

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification in good standing
• BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfort and experience working night/overnight shifts
• Ability to pass background check and comply with facility immunization requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Prior experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but open to motivated new CNAs

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current state CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of basic infection control and standard precautions
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with electronic medical record charting (or quick to learn)
• Good situational awareness and dependable time management
• Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills
