Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status accurately and promptly
• Assist nursing staff with clinical tasks and follow care plans faithfully
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
• Document care in charts and report any changes or concerns to the nurse in charge

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification valid in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and independently during per-diem assignments
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and TB screening as required
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with basic patient care: bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
• Basic infection control and safety procedures
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
