Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, ventilator settings, and lab results
• Implement evidence-based interventions and participate in care planning
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Perform timely assessments, document care accurately, and communicate changes promptly
• Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy about condition and care plans
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards at all times

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license for the state of California
• Critical care/ICU experience preferred, with comfort managing complex patients
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) highly recommended
• Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with ICU equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitors
• Ability to prioritize rapidly and respond effectively in high-acuity situations
• Proficient documentation and electronic medical record use
• Skilled at multidisciplinary collaboration and clear bedside reporting
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement
