Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care during overnight shifts for assigned patients
• Assess patients, monitor clinical status, and intervene promptly when changes occur
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligibility to obtain one
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Per-diem or acute care nursing experience preferred; comfort with overnight shifts
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and IV skills
• Ability to work independently overnight and collaborate with care teams
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Basic cardiac life support and emergency response
• Electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency and accurate charting
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
• Clear communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
