Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varied (8-10 hour day shifts), typically starting at 6 AM or 10 AM, with overnight call once a week and 3 weekend days per month.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform surgical procedures in a fast-paced CVOR environment
Assist with heart surgeries including CABG and valve procedures
Monitor and interpret EKG strips during surgeries
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Take overnight and weekend call as required
Maintain sterile field and adhere to safety protocols

Qualifications

Active BLS and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
Ability to interpret EKG strips confidently
First-time travelers welcome!
Must provide 2 supervisor references (1 within 12 months, 1 within 3 years)
Not directly employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within the past year

Knowledge & Skills

Strong CVOR experience and confidence in skill
Proficient in Cerner EMR
Knowledge of cardiac surgery procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
Ability to work in a high-volume, high-acuity OR setting
