Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments to determine clinical needs and level of care
• Perform utilization reviews using InterQual criteria to ensure appropriate resource use
• Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC EMR to maintain clear patient records
• Coordinate care and discharge planning with multidisciplinary teams and community resources
• Communicate clinical decisions and care plans to patients, families, and providers
• Ensure compliance with utilization management policies, regulations, and payer requirements
• Advocate for patients to secure appropriate services and transitions of care

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license (required)
• Strong Utilization Review experience with InterQual (REQUIRED)
• EPIC EMR documentation experience (required)
• Acute care hospital experience
• Experience conducting patient assessments and case management
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
• Able to work Monday–Friday, daytime schedule (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
