Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough outpatient orthopedic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide evidence-based post-operative and non-surgical care (rotator cuff, ACL, meniscus, total joint replacement, fractures and more)
• Screen and build your caseload proactively while meeting productivity goals of ~8–10 visits/day
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in NextGen EHR to keep patient care coordinated
• Collaborate with physicians, colleagues, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, injury prevention, and long-term management
• Float to nearby locations (Columbia area) as needed to support the regional team

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Missouri (or eligible for state authorization/compact privileges) — please verify state requirements
• Open to new graduates; preference for candidates with 1+ years outpatient orthopedic experience
• Comfortable using NextGen EHR (documentation and billing workflows handled via ShiftWise Flex)
• Proven ability to manage an outpatient caseload and meet productivity expectations
• Professional presentation and ability to work business casual in a clinic environment
• Reliable transportation for occasional travel to nearby sites (Columbia, MO ~35 minutes)

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or entry-level PT degree as required by state

Knowledge & Skills

• Outpatient physical therapy best practices and orthopedic treatment approaches
• Patient evaluation and assessment skills with strong clinical reasoning
• Experience with post-op protocols and non-surgical orthopedic interventions
• Familiarity with common conditions: rotator cuff, ACL/meniscus, plantar fasciitis, OA, low back pain, fractures
• Caseload management, screening, and building a sustainable patient panel
• Comfortable with NextGen EHR workflows and electronic documentation
• Strong communication and patient education skills across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

This travel assignment gives you a chance to explore mid-Missouri.
