Location: Boston, MA

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 4-hour shifts (exact start/end times and days not specified), RN - PACU (Pediatrics); orientation required; 3 slots available
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide focused post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia
- Assess and continuously monitor vital signs, pain levels, and airway status
- Administer medications and interventions per protocol and document responses
- Collaborate closely with anesthesia and surgical teams for smooth handoffs and continuity of care
- Educate and support patients' families with clear, compassionate communication
- Participate in orientation and follow facility policies to maintain high standards of care
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; Massachusetts licensure preferred given facility location
- Experience in PACU nursing with pediatric patient population (as indicated in the posting)
- Availability to start on 2026-04-29 (start date provided)
- Willingness to complete required orientation
- Certifications such as BLS and pediatric-specific certifications (e.g., PALS) are a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Post-anesthesia assessment and recovery management
- Pediatric-focused patient communication and family education
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs and post-op indicators
- Medication administration and IV management in a PACU setting
- Accurate, timely documentation and handoff communication
