Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients — help with bathing, dressing, feeding and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow care plans and physician/nurse instructions to ensure continuity of care
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Build trusting relationships with residents and family members through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Compassionate demeanor, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Proficient in measuring and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control standards and safety procedures
• Good charting and observational skills to communicate changes in condition
• Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic bedside manner
