Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
• Support residents with personal care tasks while preserving dignity and comfort
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the care team
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort with patient lifting/transfer techniques and safe care practices
• Willingness to undergo background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient hygiene, feeding assistance, and toileting care
• Ability to measure and record vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Comfortable with basic charting and electronic health records
• Good interpersonal skills for working with patients, families and clinical staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
