Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, helping residents maintain dignity and comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs and report notable changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning to prevent falls and injuries
• Support nursing staff with daily clinical tasks and clear, timely documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices consistently
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but new CNAs with a great attitude are welcome
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a patient-centered approach

Education

• CNA certification from a state-approved program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and vital sign measurement
• Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary care team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and compassion for older adults
• Basic safety and infection prevention practices
