Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
• Document care and observations clearly in resident records
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families and the care team to ensure continuity of care
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• State CNA/licensure in good standing (Pennsylvania preferred)
• Basic understanding of infection control and patient safety
• Compassionate, dependable, and able to work well in a team
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
