Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support nursing staff by providing timely patient observations and documentation
• Help with safe transfers and mobility to reduce fall risk and promote independence
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team to deliver coordinated care
• Participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care through accurate charting

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Active or eligible for Pennsylvania CNA registry/license
• Comfortable working third shift/night hours and providing hands-on patient care
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude; previous long-term care or facility experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and personal hygiene assistance
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to take and document vital signs and basic observations
• Familiarity with electronic charting and accurate documentation practices
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to follow care plans and report patient changes promptly
