Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and transfers while maintaining patient dignity and safety
• Support nursing staff with ADLs, turning/positioning, and environmental upkeep
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by being reliable, professional, and empathetic

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification—required
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on care
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
• Ability to pass facility-required background check and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Good observational skills to notice changes in patient condition
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
• Familiarity with charting and basic documentation
