Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment to maintain resident safety
- Support meal assistance and proper feeding techniques while honoring patient preferences
- Document care accurately and clearly to ensure continuity of care
- Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
- Ability to pass facility background and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
- Comfort with routine physical tasks such as lifting, turning, and assisting patients
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic patient care procedures and infection control
- Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
- Ability to follow care plans and verbal/written instructions
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a healthcare team
- Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
