Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for adult ICU patients in a 16-bed NVICU unit
- Perform and manage advanced ICU procedures such as intubation, central line and A-line care, and EVD patient management
- Monitor and respond to complex hemodynamic and ventilator parameters to maintain patient stability
- Document patient care and clinical status accurately using the Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized patient plans of care
- Maintain appropriate patient ratios (approximate 2:1) and prioritize safe, efficient care
- Actively participate in unit workflows, including floating to other ICUs, BMT, and PCU floors when needed
- Support unit culture by being accountable, caring, and a strong team player
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure appropriate for practice in Texas (compact license accepted if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (explicit requirement in posting)
- Current ACLS certification (required)
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Experience or comfort with oncology and neuro patients preferred
- Demonstrated competency with intubation, central line, arterial line care, and EVD patient care
- Ability to work nights and meet weekend coverage requirements
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; education level per employer/state requirements (associate or bachelor level as held by candidate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing fundamentals and advanced ICU assessment
- Mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
- Hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive medication management
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record
- Skill in ICU procedures: intubation support, central line and A-line management, EVD care
- Strong communication, teamwork, and situational awareness in high-acuity settings
- Ability to adapt quickly to new units and workflows during travel assignments
