Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert critical care nursing for ICU patients, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio
- Perform high-acuity procedures including intubation, extubation, central and arterial line care, chest tube and EVD support
- Manage complex therapies such as CRRT/HD, ventilator management, TPA administration, and tracheostomy care
- Monitor patients continuously using bedside monitors and document care accurately in Cerner PowerChart
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Participate in unit operations including modified self-scheduling and adherence to unit-specific policies
- Support a compassionate patient experience through clear communication and kind bedside manner
Qualifications
- Valid Nursing License (required)
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years of critical care / ICU experience (Trauma ICU and Surgical ICU experience strongly preferred)
- Experience with acute care ICU skills and high-acuity procedures (CRRT/HD, ventilator care, central/A-line management)
- Comfort floating to other ICUs and working a 6-week schedule with weekend coverage
- Team-player attitude, flexibility, and a positive approach to fast-paced environments
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Cerner PowerChart documentation
- Strong ventilator management and airway skills (intubation/extubation, trach care)
- Experience with CRRT/HD, EVD management, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Familiarity with Baxter/Alaris IV pumps, GE Carescape monitors, and common ICU devices
- Ability to perform wound irrigation/debridement and assist with minor bedside procedures
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
