Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care at the bedside
- Assess and monitor patient condition, intervening promptly when needed
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement care plans
- Provide patient and family education with clarity and empathy
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
- Support unit flow during high-acuity periods and help orient local staff when needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or eligibility for compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced certifications like ACLS or specialty credentials are a plus
- Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
- Comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments and adapting quickly to new teams
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Skilled in patient/family education and bedside communication
- Ability to chart accurately and timely in electronic medical records
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration skills
- Adaptability to changing unit workflows and varying patient acuity
