Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care across populations from neonates to geriatrics
• Perform routine respiratory treatments and assist with ABG sampling and EKGs
• Support neonatal care including assistance with complicated deliveries and C-sections
• Stabilize trauma and stroke patients for transfer and coordinate safe handoffs
• Operate and troubleshoot high-flow, CPAP/BiPAP systems and a range of ventilator equipment
• Work independently as the sole RT on shift while collaborating with the care team
• Document care accurately in MEDITECH and participate in unit-based quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Current ND state licensure (required)
• RRT or CRT verification (one required)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (acute care preferred)
• Comfortable working independently and covering all hospital areas (ER, med/surg, neonatal)
• Experience with neonatal populations and the ability to assist on deliveries strongly preferred

Education

• Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy (or equivalent)
• RRT or CRT credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with MEDITECH charting
• Experience with Airvo, PB 840 and PB 980 ventilators, Hamilton G-5, LVT 1200 portable vents, V-60 (Respironics), and BirdBlenders
• Skilled in ABG sampling, routine treatments, and basic EKG assistance
• Ability to manage care in a Critical Access/Level IV trauma environment
• Comfortable with team and block scheduling models and rotating weekend coverage
