Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem / As Scheduled, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the care team promptly
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Document care accurately and thoroughly to keep the team informed
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar patient-care setting is a plus
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on knowledge of ADLs and safe resident handling
Basic measuring and recording of vital signs
Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
Comfortable with electronic or paper charting and timely documentation
Strong teamwork, observation, and interpersonal skills
