Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care following physician orders and facility protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly to the care team
- Assist with activities of daily living and support patient comfort and safety
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to promote positive outcomes
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and adhere to compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — NC license preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or obtainable upon hire
- Ability to work a 12.5-hour day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing patient needs
- Professional attitude, reliable attendance, and willingness to collaborate
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing skills including medication administration and wound care
- Familiarity with patient documentation and electronic medical records
- Basic assessment skills and ability to recognize changes in patient status
- Good interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and the care team
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
