Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform thorough patient assessments and report changes promptly
- Document care and observations clearly in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Support patient comfort and education — be a calming, knowledgeable presence
- Follow facility policies and maintain high standards for infection control
Qualifications
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain quickly
- Previous LPN experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills welcome
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and team
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required background checks
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN certificate/diploma) and active LPN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Safe medication administration and documentation practices
- Patient assessment skills and recognizing clinical changes
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic computer use
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
- Time management and prioritization across multiple patient needs
