Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any concerns promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
• Document care and observations in resident charts according to facility policy
• Maintain infection control standards and help keep the environment clean and safe
• Assist nursing staff with treatments and follow delegated tasks to support quality care

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or must obtain per facility policy
• Comfortable working daytime shifts (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) and able to be flexible for per-diem needs
• Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with good communication skills
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet health screening requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care standards
• Skill in taking vital signs and observing/reporting changes in condition
• Familiarity with infection prevention, safe transfer techniques, and ADL support
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize resident needs
