Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Support safe mobility and transfers while encouraging independence
Take and record basic vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents
Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate clearly with nursing staff
Help keep resident rooms and common areas tidy and comfortable
Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to protect residents

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing environments
Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic geriatric care needs and ADLs
Skill in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Good documentation practices and clear communication with clinical team
Awareness of infection control and safety procedures
Teamwork mindset and respect for resident dignity
