Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care and support
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Safely assist with transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team
• Accurately document care and observations in the resident record
• Support mealtime assistance and feeding as needed with dignity and respect
• Communicate effectively and kindly with residents, families, and the care team

Qualifications

• GNA certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required depending on facility
• Comfortable working night shifts and adaptable to per diem scheduling
• Experience caring for older adults preferred but new grads with strong soft skills are welcome
• Ability to pass state background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
• Reliable, compassionate, and a strong team player

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification (state recognized)

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of geriatric care principles and resident dignity
• Basic clinical observation skills for reporting changes in condition
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and care tasks
• Ability to work calmly in busy or emotional situations
