Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (variable days), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Night shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $24 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Assist patients with mobility, bathing, dressing, and toileting while preserving dignity
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to reduce risk
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Accurately document care and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary staff
Help create positive patient experiences through attentive, respectful interactions

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Dependable, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Ability to pass facility-required background and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and safe patient handling
Measuring and documenting vital signs accurately
Basic infection control practices and safe hygiene techniques
Clear, respectful communication with patients, families, and team members
Time management and ability to prioritize direct care tasks
Basic charting and documentation skills
