Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days to be scheduled, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Support safe transfers and mobility while promoting resident independence
Document care and observations accurately and promptly
Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff and leadership
Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active/state-appropriate healthcare clearance and immunizations per facility policy
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; resident-focused attitude
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled at assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating)
Basic patient observation and reporting skills
Safe transfer and positioning techniques
Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
Comfortable with documentation in electronic or paper charting systems
Teamwork, time management, and adaptability in a busy care setting
