Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, promoting dignity and independence
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Accurately document care, meals, and resident responses in charts and care plans
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to coordinate person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• Basic CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working as part of a team in a long-term care setting
• Dependable, compassionate, and ready to provide excellent resident-centered care

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Familiarity with infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Strong observational skills and the ability to communicate changes clearly
• Reliable documentation and basic charting skills
• Teamwork, empathy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced care environment
