Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, helping with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of resident care and observations
• Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by following infection control and facility protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the care team to deliver person-centered care
• Offer emotional support and respectful companionship to residents and their families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings (e.g., TB test, immunizations)
• Comfortable with physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, and assisting with patient transfers
• Reliable, compassionate, and a strong team player with good communication skills
• Previous CNA experience preferred but motivated new CNAs are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing direct resident care and assistance with ADLs
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Competent in taking and recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Clear verbal and written communication for documentation and teamwork
• Able to prioritize tasks, manage time on busy shifts, and remain calm under pressure
• Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to resident dignity and comfort
