Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem scheduling (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and maintain proper body mechanics
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean care environment
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and team members
Help create a comfortable, respectful atmosphere that preserves patient dignity

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Valid state authorization to practice as a CNA (Pennsylvania preferred)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Reliable, patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (assistance with mobility, lifting as required)
Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing principles and resident care
Skilled in ADLs (activities of daily living) assistance and safe patient handling
Comfortable with vital signs monitoring and documentation
Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
Strong teamwork, time management, and observational skills
Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to the care team
