Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced pediatric critical care in a 6-bed PICU, caring for complex patients
- Manage ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and other respiratory support with confidence
- Safely administer and titrate IV infusions and drips using Alaris pumps
- Monitor seizure activity and support EMU monitoring when needed
- Document care accurately and efficiently using the Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate and support families through critical care episodes with compassion and clarity
- Contribute to infection prevention practices that have helped keep the unit CLABSI/CAUTI free
Qualifications
- Active RN license (valid for practice in the assignment state or ability to obtain)
- PALS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of PICU experience (experience with vents and drips strongly preferred)
- Comfortable with ventilator management, HFNC, IV infusion/drip management, and EMU/seizure monitoring
- Experience with Meditech EMR and Alaris IV pumps is a plus
- Team-player attitude, flexibility, and openness to feedback
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric critical care principles and PICU workflows
- Ventilator management and respiratory support including HFNC
- IV infusion and drip management using Alaris pumps
- Meditech electronic medical record proficiency
- Seizure monitoring and EMU familiarity
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Patient ratio management in an ICU setting (2:1, ICU/IMC mixes)
