Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on assigned shifts
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Monitor and document patient status, changes, and responses to interventions
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate care
- Assist with procedures, admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and self-care
- Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and handoffs
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and managing time effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team
- Previous LPN clinical experience preferred but new grads with clinical rotations considered
Education
- Completed accredited LPN/LVN program (diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation practices
- Basic wound care and infection control principles
- Electronic health record (EHR) charting proficiency
- Prioritization, critical thinking, and effective communication
