Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and monitor patients during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Assess patient status, record observations, and escalate changes to the care team
- Document care thoroughly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Support safe patient transfers, admissions, and discharges during your shift
- Educate patients and families with clear, respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current LPN license or vocational nursing certificate (LPN) — ability to practice in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Prior experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care is a plus
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete required onboarding checks
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and compassionate bedside manner
Education
- Vocational/Practical Nursing diploma or LPN certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Vital signs monitoring and patient assessment skills
- Wound care and basic dressing changes
- Accurate charting and familiarity with electronic health records
- Infection prevention, safety practices, and regulatory compliance
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
