Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe patient care during overnight shifts
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and consistently
• Document patient status and care interventions in the chart promptly
• Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff clearly and professionally
• Support patient comfort, dignity, and mobility with respectful hands-on care
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification for NH or VT, or eligibility to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight hours and flexible per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience preferred but enthusiastic newer grads are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved LNA/CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care and ADL support
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize during busy shifts
• Empathetic communication with patients, families, and care teams
