Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and promote patient comfort
- Administer medications and document treatments according to policy
- Monitor patient status and report changes to the RN or provider
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and basic procedures within LPN scope
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic charting and handoffs
- Support admissions, discharges, and bedside teaching for patients and families
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in the state of practice (New Hampshire) or ability to obtain
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Per diem availability and flexibility to work 12-plus hour day shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient advocacy skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced facility and collaborating with a team
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent completion of an accredited LPN program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and IV basics consistent with LPN scope
- Clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Wound care and basic procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Infection control practices and patient safety focus
- Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate with nursing staff
