Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data to identify and respond to cardiac changes
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults on a telemetry unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Escalate clinical changes promptly and participate in bedside handoffs

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience, with telemetry experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Medication administration and IV therapy best practices
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting and documentation
• Patient education and effective communication with families and teams
• Prioritization, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced unit
