Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' functional abilities and create individualized rehabilitation plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and equipment training
- Monitor progress and modify treatment plans to maximize recovery and avoid surgery when possible
- Supervise and mentor PT Assistants to ensure high-quality patient care
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families on home programs and injury prevention strategies
Qualifications
- Oklahoma State Physical Therapy license (required)
- BLS (AHA) certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years hospital-based Physical Therapy experience (required)
- Recent traveler experience preferred
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Ability to provide work history and current permanent address as requested by facility
- Willingness to follow facility-specific policies (including orientation and eligibility rules)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical reasoning in acute/rehabilitation settings
- Rehabilitation planning and therapeutic exercise prescription
- Manual therapy techniques and therapeutic equipment use
- Experience supervising PT Assistants and collaborating with care teams
- Strong documentation skills and outcomes tracking
- Familiarity with hospital workflows and safety protocols
