Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and process portable X-Ray exams using digital (DR) or computed (CR) equipment and submit images to radiologists for interpretation
• Unload and transport portable X-Ray equipment into facilities and obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent images
• Perform EKGs when required and transmit them to a cardiologist for reading
• Scan exam paperwork and billing documents daily according to protocol
• Maintain clear, professional communication with dispatch, management, peers, and facility staff
• Maintain vehicle and x-ray equipment to ensure safe, reliable service delivery
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in nursing homes and post-acute settings

Qualifications

• ARRT certification - required
• Active Driver's License - required
• Experience with portable digital radiography (DR) and/or computed radiography (CR)
• Comfortable performing EKGs when needed
• Ability to push/pull and handle equipment (50–100 lbs frequently)
• Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and staff
• Ability to maintain vehicle and x-ray equipment and follow site protocols
• Limited licenses are not accepted

Education

• ARRT certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Portable digital radiography (DR) operation and image acquisition
• Computed radiography (CR) familiarity and processing
• EKG acquisition and transmission workflows (as applicable)
• Image transmission to radiologists and cardiologists
• Daily scanning and documentation of exam/billing paperwork
• Vehicle and equipment maintenance basics
• Effective communication with dispatch and management
• Patient handling and positioning in post-acute care environments
