Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients using evidence-based evaluation techniques to determine communication and swallowing needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans that are meaningful and measurable
- Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions across the continuum of care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses and the rehabilitation team to coordinate care
- Document patient progress clearly and timely, supporting continuity and outcomes
- Educate patients, families and caregivers to promote carryover and functional gains
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute clinical expertise to treatment planning
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent clinical graduate degree
- State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology or ability to obtain licensure in North Carolina
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or eligibility to obtain certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Clinical experience with adult and/or acute care populations preferred; open to experienced clinicians who thrive in fast-paced settings
- Strong communication, documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
- Familiarity with hospital-based documentation and compliance standards
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual patient goals
- Comfort working as part of an interdisciplinary team and communicating clinical findings
- Good time management and caseload prioritization to maximize patient outcomes
