Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely clinical laboratory testing across assigned specialties to support patient care
• Maintain and document quality control, quality assurance and instrument calibration to ensure reliable results
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and test procedures, escalating issues and coordinating repairs when needed
• Review and verify test results, interpret quality flags and communicate critical values to clinical teams
• Adhere to laboratory safety, infection control and regulatory policies to protect patients and staff
• Participate in competency assessments, proficiency testing and continuing education to maintain clinical excellence
• Collaborate with colleagues and clinicians to improve workflows and support efficient patient care delivery

Qualifications

• Completion of required Prime competency items: Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam
• Meet all listed health and screening requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, TB test, Varicella, Tdap
• Prime color-blind test required
• Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray documentation (where applicable) and up-to-date physical/health statement
• Successful completion of Prime drug screening (minimum 10-panel test)
• Willingness and ability to work evening/swing shifts and occasionally cover graveyard shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory testing methods and specimen handling best practices
• Experience with quality control, quality assurance and instrument maintenance procedures
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and accurate electronic documentation
• Ability to interpret QC data, troubleshoot technical issues and follow SOPs
• Good communication skills for collaborating with clinical teams and reporting critical results
• Detail-oriented mindset and commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance
