Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Assist with meal service and document dietary needs and intake accurately
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification (NH) or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• Current CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
• Completion of a state-approved nurse aide/LNA training program
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background check, and immunization requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited LNA / nurse aide training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Comfortable with basic charting and accurate documentation
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe handling procedures
• Ability to observe, report, and escalate clinical changes
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
