Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Assist with meal service and document dietary needs and intake accurately
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control protocols
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification (NH) or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Current CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Completion of a state-approved nurse aide/LNA training program
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background check, and immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus but not required
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited LNA / nurse aide training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Comfortable with basic charting and accurate documentation
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safe handling procedures
- Ability to observe, report, and escalate clinical changes
- Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
