Shift Type: Days to be confirmed with facility, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Day shift, 30-minute meal break, Guaranteed 36 hours/week

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed PT to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Assist with patient evaluations, document progress, and update care plans to ensure measurable outcomes
• Implement therapeutic exercise programs and adaptive techniques with compassion and clinical reasoning
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to create cohesive, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate records, monitor safety, and adhere to facility policies and infection control standards
• Contribute to a positive rehab environment by mentoring aides and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New Jersey or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
• Completion of an accredited PTA program and current certification where required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification current at start of assignment
• Clinical experience in outpatient, inpatient rehab, or skilled nursing preferred
• Availability for a 13-week contract starting 2026-01-26 through 2026-04-25 (assignment dates)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and mobility aid training
• Knowledge of documentation systems and outcome measurement tools
• Ability to modify treatment plans based on patient response and safety considerations
• Familiarity with discharge planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Empathy, professionalism, and strong time-management skills
