Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality oncology care in the outpatient clinic and perform inpatient consults as needed
- Manage chemotherapy and infusion therapy with attention to safety and patient comfort
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacy, and navigation teams to coordinate comprehensive care
- Participate in clinical trials and support research-connected patient care activities
- Document care and communicate clearly with referring physicians and care teams using EPIC
- Act as a trusted clinical resource, delivering evidence-based, compassionate care
- Contribute to team-building, quality improvement, and a growth-minded clinical environment
- Maintain timely, professional communication with patients and families to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Licensed Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with oncology experience or relevant training
- Experience in oncology including chemotherapy and infusion therapy preferred
- Familiarity and efficiency with EPIC or similar electronic health records
- Clean malpractice history/background; NPDB self-query report required
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills
- Comfort working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Residency within the immediate local area required; relocation may be needed
- Locum-to-perm candidates considered
Education
- Graduate degree and certification as an NP or PA (e.g., MSN/NP or PA degree) and national certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical oncology and medical oncology fundamentals
- Chemotherapy protocols and safe infusion practices
- Outpatient oncology workflows and inpatient consult management
- Experience with clinical trials operations and coordination
- Proficiency with EPIC and general clinical software
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and team-building skills
- Evidence-based practice, problem solving, and professional communication
